If you’re lucky enough to work in Southwold, how can you top that for a holiday?
Only this weekend, the Sunday Times featured Southwold as one of the most fashionable places to spend an extended summer break. We who are here twelve months a year know full well the benefits of fresh air, big sea and friendly faces in the High Street – but how can you fully appreciate paradise unless you remove yourself from it once in a while?
George has taken the step of taking a proper holiday for the first time in years full of moving house and setting up a skate brand. He plumped for Kalkan in Turkey, keen to experience something completely different from Southwold. (Let’s not tell him that the Daily Mail calls it the ‘Southwold of Turkey’, eh?)
Si is using a holiday in Morocco, booked last year, to explore Morocco by way of research for our exciting new account, creating Morocco’s tourism marketing for British and American audiences. Hoping his daughter Georgie isn’t too gutted to discover that her lazing-by-the-pool holiday is going to be a bucketing-through-the-desert-in-a-hire-car experience instead…
Jess has decided that at the grand old age of 30-something (very early 30-something… Ed) she needs to go on a now or never girls’ weekend to Ibiza – which she will recover from by spending a week in Chicago to meet her new two month old nephew Jack for the first time.
Bex is revisiting the past by holidaying with her university friends in a cottage, tucked away in the New Forest. Richard’s putting the kids first and taking them to Butlins (seriously – have you seen Butlins recently? It looks BRILLIANT!). Lee’s golfing in Portugal. Nikki H-G’s off to meet the in-laws in Jersey; Nikki B’s already sunning herself at her Mum’s in Spain.
It takes Ian to do something really exotic – Peru, the Amazon and Galapagos Islands all feature in his three week adventure. Bring us back a dragon, Ian!
