PR has come a long way from the old days of press releases and long lunches. For Spring, as a strategic communications design agency, it’s essential that PR in all its guises is a core element of our campaign strategy and management.

Last week I ran a workshop for the Springers to help the whole team get a deep understanding of PR, how it works and why it is such an important part of what we do at Spring.  

It was a pleasingly packed house (I like to think that the fact that a free lunch was included had nothing to do with this…); designers, web developers, account managers and those who practice PR themselves came in force.

We talked through what PR is and clarified the many different PR tactics that we can offer to clients.  Then things got hands on as we split into groups, with each group focusing on an existing Spring client and devising a PR push to support our other brand development work using various appropriate PR tactics.

The ideas were creative and impressive, and we are all now excited to see where this fully integrated consideration for PR as part of the Spring offer will take us.
