Our work for STEM awareness raising can now be seen in events up and down the East Anglian coastline as well as on social media.
The objective of this project is to entice young people to attend ‘have-a-go’ events and learn more about the possibilities attached to science, technology, engineering and maths subjects. It’s of particular importance since so many of the growth industries which will be providing jobs in the region over the next decades will require those skills.
It’s not just young people we are talking to – it’s also their parents and adults who have the ability to guide them. Our insight was that, at an early age, young people get labels – arty, geeky, sporty, and so on – and this exciting campaign sets out to overcome the barriers that labelling creates.
