Back in March this year we launched ‘There’s More to Me’ – a campaign for Age UK Suffolk designed to create a better connection between the generations. Less than six months on the campaign has already generated £37,500, funds that allow Age UK Suffolk to provide support for 144 older people.
Our film, which features a small group of Suffolk people talking about TMTM, is being shown in Woodbridge’s Riverside Cinema before every feature film, and other independent cinemas are being approached in the hope that they’ll follow suit.
We’re hitting the high street too, with the Ipswich store in Carr Street holding a drive to collect old photos to display in their branch and capture local memories, allowing yet more stories to be told via their large store windows.
It’s still very early for this project but initial signs are promising – a fact that is gratifying and important for this essential charity and the vital work it does.
